Research for main - Fast Five

Fast Five was one of the first films we agreed to research for our main. This was because we knew it had a very gripping and action packed opening which included a chase, which was perfect for research.

This was the clip we analysed:

This clip showed a slightly different chase scene as the one we were planning on doing as it contained vehicles (cars/train) rather than the one we wanted to use, which was on foot. However by analysing this clip we had a better understanding of how to make the chase more gripping, as this clip shows great camera shots and camera angles which keep the viewers on edge. We wanted to implement this in our own film opening to have the same effect and therefore made notes of this.

As a group we came up with a powerpoint presentation of our analysis of fast five, as we all analysed different aspects of it. Here are the results of our analysis in our presentation:

This was a good research technique as we all had different things to bring to the table, which again gave us a better idea of what we wanted in our main.
